It has even been noted that Jamie Foxx was so dedicated to impersonating the legendary Ray Charles in the best way possible that during the entire filming of the movie, “he wore prosthetic eyelids which made him virtually blind and even went through sessions of crippling hyperventilation” (Contactmusic.com, 2004).
