As I examine the current social initiatives social, the two that that hop are still around as I age are Social Security and Medicare. With those in our society paying into the programs through years of work, who wouldn’t want these programs to hang around to get in what we have put into them. I always have to put myself in the shoes of those who need programs like this to have the understanding of why the government provides them. “An act to provide for the general welfare by establishing a system of Federal old-age benefits, and by enabling the several States to make more adequate provision for aged persons, blind persons, dependent and crippled children, maternal and child welfare, public health, and the administration of their unemployment compensation laws; to establish a Social Security Board; to raise revenue; and for other purposes”, is known as the Social Security of 1935(74 th Congress, 1935). In a nutshell is for those people that are eligible who have retired or disabled or those dependent families of the person responsible for providing
