In what ways can the media change the way a citizen thinks about government? OR Should all activities of the government be open to media coverage? Why or why not? In what circumstances do you think it would be appropriate for the government to operate without transparency? Last year Beyonce announced her support of Democratic Texas Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke in the 2018 midterms during the final hours of election day. This announcement sparked the attention of many of her followers who commented about their feelings of upset and regret in whom they voted for since it was not the same as who Beyonce voted for. This is to say that social media, and the media, in general, has a huge effect on how citizens look at the government.
