Homework 2 due Friday, July 8 2011 1 [16pts] Flip a fair coin. If it lands on heads, roll 2 fair dice. If it lands on tails, roll 3 fair dice. Find the probability that the sum of the numbers you roll is 5. 2 [24pts] We have two urns full of marbles,. The first urn has 6 red marbles and 5 grey. The second urn has 2 red marbles and 7 grey. Draw a marble from the first urn. If it’s red, put it back into the first urn, and add two (new) red marbles to the second urn. If it’s grey, just put the marble you drew into the second urn. Repeat this process, then draw a marble from the second urn.
