Module 2 Assignment - Some Key Concepts from Module 2 Use chapters 4 and 5 to answer these questions. Submit the questions with your answers. Chapter 4 1. Describe the two main processes of energy capture and conversion. Photosynthesis is the process in which plants capture energy from the sun and store it in chemical bonds. Cellular respiration is the process by which all organisms release energy. 2. Does the conversion of ADP to ATP require or release energy? How about the conversion of ATP to ADP? ADP to Atp energy is released, while conversion of atp to adp energy is released. 3. What are the three inputs for photosynthesis? What are the two outputs? Inputs are sun, water, carbon dioxide. Outputs are oxygen and sugar. 4. What molecules are produced in the “photo” portion of photosynthesis? Sugar molecules 5. Describe the three steps in the Calvin cycle.
