1. Jesus was born between 3C.E.- 6A.D. in Bethlehem in Judea, depending on the source; whereas, Mohammed was born in Mecca, in 570 A.D. or almost 600 years later. 2. Mohammed lost his father before birth, and his mother at the age of six; whereas, Jesus was reared by Mary, a young Jewish maiden, and his foster father, Joseph, a carpenter. 3. Jesus’ name means God is Savior; whereas, Mohammed‘s name means praised one. 4. Mohammed only spoke Arabic; in contrast, Jesus spoke Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. 5. Jesus was never married; whereas, Mohammed was married to at least fifteen wives. 6. Jesus was said to have performed miracles; similarly, Mohammed was said to also have performed miracles. These reports of miraculous happenings provided evidence around which credence was given to both Jesus and Mohammed that eventually led to the widespread acceptance of the religions. 7.
