Data Collection Paper 2 Data Collection Paper Our hypothesis examines how home prices fluctuate in relation to the square footage of a home and the distance from any major city. Our research shows that there are other contributing factors that affect home prices. Today’s market has evolved in the sense it has incorporated technology and buyers are aware of their options. The economy has also steered buyers into negotiating as opposed to going with what is being offered. “How to sell your home in a down market: as values tumble, your home for good price requires special skills.” In this first article, it shows that location and size is not the only thing that affects a home’s value. Sellers need to appeal to buyers in order to get their asking price or something close to it. Today we have a buyer’s market, and anything and everything is negotiable. The article explains how sellers can foresee items that need correction and address them before giving the buyers something to negotiate the price with. “Real Estate Agents, Help or Hype?” In this article, it explains how employing a Realtor may help both owners and buyers. The article focuses on how Realtors utilize the MLS (multiple listing service) to expose available properties to other realtors who are searching for homes for their clients. On this site, Realtors use comments to distinguish their property listings from other similar homes. Their comments can make the difference between similar listed homes. “Real Estate Brokerage: Factors That May Affect Price” In this next article, we see other factors that affect price. People seem to think it is only the condition of their home and the surrounding homes. Brokerage commission practices are a huge factor that affects home sales.
