1.Types of employment discrimination and ways to prevent them Discrimination occurs when a person is treated unfairly or less favorably than another person in the same or similar circumstances. It can occur at the time of hiring, during the course of employment or when employment terminates. There are many different ways that discrimination can occur in the workplace but there are types that are most common namely racial, gender discrimination. In the following essay, I am going to discuss these types of discrimination and how people do to prevent discrimination. Firstly, racial discrimination is treating people differently through a process of social division into categories not necessarily related to race. Racial discrimination may occur in the way that someone provides you with goods, facilities and services, including housing. It can also occur in public services, such as health and education and other public services. Racial discrimination may also occur in, the field of employment. For example: The Black seems to have fewer job opportunities as well as promotion opportunities as compared to the white. Secondly, I am going to present about gender discrimination which also known as sexual discrimination is the practice of letting a person's sex unfairly become a factor when deciding who receives a job, promotion, or other employment benefit. It most often affects women who feel they have been unfairly discriminated against in favor of a man. But there have also been cases where males have claimed that reverse discrimination has occurred -that is the woman received unfairly favorable treatment at the expense of the man. Although more and more women are working, they are still by far one of the most targeted groups for discrimination in the workplace. In many companies, women are more likely to be grounded in lower-paying and less secure jobs than men Discrimination is a terrible thing in the world which people needs to have responsibility to prevent it. However, how can we prevent discrimination? In my opinion, we need to work together to ensure that our civil rights laws are fully enforced. Religious liberty is a fundamental people value and the Justice Department regularly prosecutes lawsuits to the religious rights and freedoms of all people. Besides, we need to better understand the cultures, values, customs and traditions of people and other ethnic and

religious communities in other countries. Moreover, it is notorious that people are born equal. Thus, we need to place a top priority on ensuring that people are given full and equal opportunity in education, in employment, in housing and in their interactions with government agencies and in so many other areas of public life.
