Business Communication Skills2Business Communication Skills:A Review of the Effectiveness of Intra-Workplace CommunicationsMindTools Communication AssessmentAt NRG Energy’s customer care center, customers are grouped by their personality type.Based on the inquiry or the request of the customer, the representative is to use active listeningskills to place that customer in one of four categories that will ideally allow the representative toaddress the customer’s needs in the conversational format best suited to the customer. Outside ofclassifying myself within these guidelines, whether I was an entertainer, controller, thinker orfeeler, I did not do any additional formal work to determine my communication style nor theeffectiveness of my communication.
