Marquise Lofland Biology 102L-1179 June 6 2020 Dr. Hassan The Scientific Method: Which household Liquids will melt the fastest? With a growing curiosity of biology I decided to freeze a few household liquids and time them to see which would melt the fastest. Thinking to myself, these are liquids we put in our body very often not knowing exactly how it will digest. I believed using the scientific method to see their reactions and dissolving order or the outside would provide me a pretty good idea. The Materials I decided to use: Water, Apple Juice, Syrup, Orange Juice, Milk, and Ketchup Ice Trays Timer 6 Clear Plastic Cups To conduct this project I grabbed a notebook to log my data, set the temperature in the house to 72 degrees and begun entering each of the liquids into a separate tray. At approximately 2:00 pm I placed each of the trays in the deep freezer and set my timer for 2 and a half hours. At 4:30 I removed each of the trays and dumped one ice cube into a cup. I then begun a timer to see exactly which one would completely melt the fastest.
