Job Description: High School Librarian 2 Job Title: High School Librarian The primary purpose of the high school librarian will be to supervise and manage the complete media center including but not limited to; books, periodicals, reference materials, videos, video equipment, etc. of the high school library. They will also fulfill services to the student body that allow them to develop their skills with using all functions of the library including but not limited to locating of materials, evaluation of materials, synthesizing, and problem solving. You will serve as a teacher, media specialist, and program mentor that will incorporate the entire library and media center within the curriculum the teachers have set forth. Some of the qualifications that are required but are not limited to are: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university Knowledge of library science Experience in library media center in public school setting
