Well the reason Mitosis is important to living organisms would be that the process of Mitosis is the dividing and forming of all new cells from old cells that already exist. There are four different phases of mitosis that a cell goes through and those are: prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. If it wasn’t for the process of Meiosis then there wouldn’t be any reproduction of cells. It is very important for an organism to undergo both of these processes, there are a few different things that a cell would need to undergo mitosis for and those things are: Growth, Repair, Development and Asexual Reproduction. When it comes to meiosis it is almost exactly the same thing as mitosis but the cells undergo meiosis twice. I think that this is the easiest way for me to remember the two, if you didn’t go through mitosis than you wouldn’t be able to have children, and if you didn’t go through meiosis than if you got cut then that cut would never heal because the skin cells in which you cut would never grow back....
