LaTonia Williamson Case Study C One of the concepts that relates to the case study is systems. Systems are one of the first topics that we discussed in the beginning of this course. Systems are made up of many components that interact and influence each other. In the case study, one of the systems would be the monarchy and the non-farmer absentee landlords. The other system would be the Maoists. They influenced and interacted with the political system to embark a change in the monarch system, even helping out those less fortunate in the situation. Another concept that relates to the case study is power. Power is the ability to get someone to do what you want them to do. In the case study, the Monarchy along with the landowners and the Maoists all exhibited power. The land owners executed power over the tenant farmers who maintained their land by evicting them when it was time for the land to be divided. The landowners did not want to give up the land, so the Maoists stepped in.
