Tampa Pediatric Specialty Care Orthopaedics Date: August 12, 2009 To: SHC employees, residents, physicians, volunteers, students and contract staff : To control transmission of the swine (H1N1) flu and seasonal flu, it is very important that healthcare workers with symptoms of the flu follow proper guidelines. Employees, residents, physicians, volunteers, students and contract staff should stay home (or should be sent home if they came to work) if they meet the following criteria: 1) Have influenza symptoms to include a fever of 100°F or greater

Employee Health should be notified of any individuals who have these symptoms. Employees, residents, physicians, volunteers, students and contract staff who have family members diagnosed with H1N1 may come to work as long as they are not exhibiting any flu-like symptoms.
