Jack Ren college writing 2011/7/25 Freedom trail On the Friday morning, my classmates and I visited old Boston by the freedom trail. The freedom trail is a tourist path and we use it today for sight seeing by walk. Under my feet, I was standing on the red brick which made the path. On the road, I saw several significant historic sites in Boston. The freedom trail is near by China town where I eat Chinese food every weekend, but I never noticed those significant historic sites even I saw them often. Before I went there, I searched some information about the freedom trail on the Internet and the basic knowledge reminded us that most of sites I have already seen before. The information which I searched told us that the freedom trail starts form Boston Common. Nevertheless, the GSAs led us starts form Old State House because of the hot weather. I saw the Old South Meeting House. It was founded in 1729. I found that the “real” Old South Meeting House is more beautiful than what I found on the internet. It became famous by the first meeting for the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773. Next, I saw Granary Burying Ground which was founded in 1660. It is the graveyard for many famous Revolutionary War-era patriots. It included three signers of the Declaration of Independence.
