Axia College Material Appendix E Hindu Terms Map Word What is your personal understanding of each of these terms? After reading the text, how would you redefine each of them? What differences did you find between the popular usage and actual definitions? Karma An occurrence that can happen to do when you do something good or bad. A person’s actions and their effects on the present and future lives. Most people would use Karma as “what goes around comes around”. Also more of a negative meaning then the real definition. Reincarnatio n Something or somebody’s soul incarnated into a new body. A new incarnation, as of a person. I think the popular usage of this word is around the same as the definition. Most assume being reincarnated is ones soul leaving their body entering another body, being reborn. Yoga A type of meditation, to feel at peace with your inner and outer self being.
