DQ 1 week 7 How do decisions regarding birth control affect reproductive health? Choosing the right birth control method is a necessity because there could be complications to one’s reproductive health. Taking the pill and missing it all the time can ultimately lead to pregnancy. People sometime just think they are doing well by using birth control to not get pregnant. Birth control is not 100% effective and people can still get STDs or Aids for sexual activity which getting some STDs a lot can cause you not to have babies. Some Birth controls have long lasting affects to a body. I was on the Depo Provera for years. When I got off it and decided to have a baby, it was years before I got pregnant. Some have higher risks for woman who are over 30 and are smokers. IUD’s can cause people to have more bacterial infections and yeast infections. A lot of birth control causes irregular bleeding between cycles, and can really affect the outcome of having a baby after you decide to get off it.
