POLICE ORGANIZATION 2 Police Organization I believe that the Houston Police Department is organized as a division of labor. It appears that HPD used this as a role to have work equally divided as much as possible. I agree with the text there is no exact science on how many people are needed to supervise the next set of subordinates for sure. I think though that HPD has come up with a great way to make things work fairly in their department. After I completed my flow chart I did find an even more detailed

Each section is so full of great breakdowns and I was so impressed at how well organized it works in HPD. I am amazed at how much I can learn from a chart to show how cooperation works. I am enjoying this process of learning in detail how the men in blue in Houston work. I never realized there was such detail behind this organization....
