In this report, I will do my best to try and analyze the four areas of the marketing mix for the Cadbury brand. I will be discussing Cadbury product, pricing, placement, and promotion, as well as some possible changes that could be made. John Cadbury opened a Grocer’s shop on Bull Street, Birmingham in 1824. He sold tea and coffee, but experimented with cocoa and drinking chocolate too. By 1831 John Cadbury’s cocoa and drinking chocolate was getting more and more popular. So he rented a small factory not far from his shop and became a manufacturer of drinking chocolate and cocoa. It was the start of Cadbury as we know it today. Cadbury merged with Fry’s in 1919 and in 1969 they merged with Schweppes and formed Cadbury Schweppes, just recently they became part of Kraft Foods on February 2, 2010. The brand does a great job of serving the needs of its customers in regards to its product.
