5 Connecting the Past, Present, and Future Life as we know it in Sullivan County, Tennessee has begun. I really don’t remember that day although, I do remember many things from my early childhood. I have been told the night of my birth , February, 4 th 1983 was impacted by a horrible snow storm. I was born with pneumonia which in fact caused a few slight problems. I am eternally grateful for the help that I have received at Sullivan County, Hospital. After a couple months my mother had decided to move to a much better environment in Virginia. I recall being sick that early evening , going across the mountain to check out our new apartment. My mom suggested to my brother to go to the store to get some medications to relieve my illness. This is in fact one of the many times that my mother was there for me. Unhappiness was always what ailed me in my times of sorrow. I tried my best to stay far away from the family arguments because I was always brought in the middle of them for I was the youngest. According to the Credit Management (2008) “For many people, there is a tension within, an underlying yet unidentifiable frustration of unhappiness that will not go away whatever their job, relationship or lifestyle.” ( Stamford: Pg. 37). With all of the frustration the only realities close to me where my sisters.
