Stephen Cole. Thieves Like Us. 2006. Has anyone wondered what it would be like to be broken out of a youth detention centre to help the richest man in the world search for a treasure? In this mysterious novel which offers the chance to "be somebody", teen geniuses possessing unique skills are sent to rob ancient artifacts which may bring eternal life. The book of Thieves like Us by Stephen Cole is about finding the key to life and making smart choices. Jonah, the main character of the story repents form being a guilty person and finds out that he made a mistake using his talent as a thief. He tries to find himself and find the key to life by making a smart choice to leave the criminal's team and tries to help him to be a better person for a successful life. "Jonah guessed that Young Offenders' Institutions weren't exactly designed with sweet dreams in mind" (P.7).This quote proves that Jonah also has the sweet dreams for his life but he cannot search for them in the detention centre. Time is also going very slow for Jonah while he is in there so he will do anything to get out of that place even to join the criminal's team. "But like any other chance- before you take it, you have to make it" (P.17).For Jonah making the biggest decision of his life was not easy but he could not wait to get out of the detention centre. He did not know why they are trying to help him to get out of there. Jonah has been lonely for a long time and finally he found a place to spend the rest of his life. He found out that there are people who want him but he doesn't know that they need him for his special talent, so he decided not to loose this chance and accept to work for Coldhardt. "You can never plan the future by the past" (P.142). This quote is a reminder to people and it tells that ability to predict the future is limited. Jonah can only look around himself and see what is happening now and then extrapolate what trends he sees into his future. It also examine that Jonah had a dark past and that doesn't mean his future should be dark too. She can have a bright future if she struggles hard. Stephen Cole did a great job on this novel to show the key for going toward the door of life.

Film Version of Romeo and Juliet. There have been many romantic films made in the past as well as now in the present, from Wuthering Heights to Pretty Woman. But, one of the most romantic of all films is the story of Romeo and Juliet. It is safe to say that most people are familiar with this story. A couple so determined to be together, ended up tragically in the arms of one another because of their feuding families. Today, a new director attempts to recreate this Shakespearean story by adding a little of his on twists to it. Using the same dialogue as Shakespeare, this director sets the story in modern times. Romeo and Juliet, the movie, gives audience in the twentieth century taste of a new and mystical flavor to this well-known love story.
