Discuss the implications of this statement. If a company wants to implement an enterprise application, it had better do its homework. Discuss the implications of this statement. Chapter 9: How does the Internet change consumer and supplier relationships? The Internet may not make corporations obsolete, but the corporations will have to change their business models. Do you agree? Why or why not? I am presuming a more tangible explanation than 'do its homework' is what you are after. The company needs to understand the resources required to implement the application, consider development, licensing, hardware for installation, and deployment and training for its people. Also implementation an enterprise wide system could be disruptive to business if not executed well: the delta between current processes and those imposed by the application should be well understood and prepared for. Especially difficult in environments where various local processes are in place. Yes, an organization could get fleeced by consultants if they chose to utilize their services. They should be prepared by having the experts who will keep the debts to less than 30%. So doing their homework is a good decision for a company....
