The research study talks about whether the correlation or link and exposure to drinking in movies and watching ads. The main topic is that does film or commercials containing alcohol influence people or younger people to drink. The experiment looked at whether showing alcohol that is being used positively actually affected the amount people drink. The dependent variable is the student consumption of alcohol, and the outcome is the amount they may have drank based on conditions they were exposed during the test. The independent variable is the movie and the commercials they were presented too. What is being manipulated? The study is what students are watching. A hypothesis is that if you expose students to ads or movies with them drinking alcohol, it will encourage them to drink more.
