Syllabus: BMS 662 Student Seminars in Biomedical Sciences 1. Title. Student Seminars in Biomedical Sciences. 2. Location. DAI, Tuesday, 9:15 – 10:15 am. 3. Coordinators. Nilesh K. Banavali; banavali@wadsworth.org; 4. Office hours 2:00 -3:00pm Fridays Description. Students will meet every other Tuesday to hear research presentations by students and postdoctoral fellows. All participating students will present their work at least once during the semester. The purpose of the course is to: (a) train students in seminar preparation and giving seminars in their current research; (b) provide students feedback from the wider scientific community on their thesis research; (c) make students more familiar with peer-review mechanisms; (d) increase interactions between students, postdocs and faculty; 5. Graded S/U. 6. Requirements. The course can be taken for a maximum of 4 credits. Students can register in 4 consecutive semesters and will receive one credit per semester.
