MTEXT Text Options Number Function Notes 1 The text style selection box allows you to select predefined text styles. You can add more text styles using the STYLE command, you also edit the parameters of the existing text styles. The 2 main text styles we will use are Smaller Text and Arial. See the CADD Standards on WebCT for when to use each. 2 These buttons control the justification of the text (left right center, etc) Generally speaking all text and notes are going to be left justified. Titles are generally center justified, and right justified text is very rare. 3 The font override diaglog box can be used to select fonts other than those selected by the text style drop down. This only changes the current font, not the font for the entire text style. 4 This box is the text height override. Text heights can be pulled from the drop down menu or typed in directly. Like the font override, this only changes the current text’s height and not the default height of the text style 5 These are the text formatting buttons, the options available are bold, italic, underline
