Heart organ donors(limited) - artificial hearts (unlimited) 1. Only good for average people a. Small people and jockeys not good 2. Originally it was as big as a grapefruit and need wires 3. Then became size of a baseball and was wireless a. Better quality of Life 4. Tested on Very sick people ii. Inventions of artificial limbs iii. Tremendous advances in last 100 yrs iv. Used by most health professionals v. But ignores social aspects of disease 1. Example: Offset Problem a. Eats up resources i. 40% that go to doctor where the doctor cannot diagnose problems 1. Extra expense and takes away doctors attention from serious problems 2. Cannot find anything wrong
