If it is a single file, just send the .m file. If it is contained in multiple files, send a zip or tar file. In the subject line, please put the string: “ CSE152 Assignment 2 ”. Binary vision pipeline In this assignment, you will implement a full binary vision pipeline capable of recognizing objects of different shapes. 1. [10 points] Write a function to threshold your images separating the background from the foreground: Implement the “peakiness” detection algorithm described in class ( lecture 7 ). The output of your function should be a binary image with 0 for all background pixels, and 1 for all foreground pixels. Apply this function to can.jpg and turn in the output image. Figure 1. can.jpg image Note: Take a look at the hist function in Matlab to compute the histogram. In case you have an RGB color image, the rgb2gray function can be used to convert it to grayscale. 2. [15 points] Write a function which implements the connected components algorithm described in class ( lecture 7 ). You may assume either 4 or 8 connectedness, state your assumption. Your function should take as input a binary image (output from previous step) and output a 2D matrix of the same size where
