1) BP’s Helios strategy revolves around the concept of making their brand seem optimistic, happier and most importantly more green and environmentally friendly. This is accomplished by their new logo, nicer gas stations and grassroots marketing. In the video, it is mentioned that some of BP’s core values are “green, performance, innovative and progressive”. BP’s Helios strategy fits into its values and mission to be an optimistic and greener company that is ahead of the curve when it comes to other gas stations. 2) SWOT Analysis BP SWOT Analysis S trengths - Innovative and green image - Visionary CEO - Better gas stations Helios House is showcase of this W eaknesses - The quality of gas is the same as other gas stations O pportunities - Gaining new customers through “street team” - Using internet as channel of marketing T hreats - Other gas stations also becoming more green - New technologies such as hybrid cars less demand for gas 3) There are many ways that BP could effectively communicate its “Helios strategy”
