1. How has an understanding of consumer behavior helped Best Buy grow from a small specialty audio retailer to the world’s largest consumer electronics retailer? -The understanding of consumer behavior has helped Best Buy expand because it creates the shopping experience the consumer is looking which leads to more sales in the long run. This is accomplished by creating unique and convenient services such as Geek Squad and the Magnolia Home Theater. This allows Best Buy to remain on top of competition that may have lower prices since consumers can only experience those services at Best Buy. 2. What were the advantages and disadvantages of using “customer centricity” to create five segments of Best Buy customers -One advantages of using the customer centricity to create segments of customer is that it is easier to categorize customer and thus give them the shopping experience they want.
