CHARACTERISTICS OF A KOWLEDGE AND VALUE-CENTERED 2 Characteristics of a Knowledge and Value-Centered Manager The ten characteristics of an effective manger are: 1. Organization-Knowledge 2. Ability to Plan-Knowledge 3. Sense of Perspective-Value 4. Ability to inspire or motivate others-Value 5. Control-Knowledge 6. Vision-Knowledge 7. Trust-Value 8. Respect-Value 9. Positive attitude-Value 10. Efficiency-Knowledge For a manager to be effective they must possess skills and values in order to put their skills and values into an organization. All of the characteristics add value to an organization they are the fundamentals that make a business successful. I believe that most of them are learned skills, the values listed above are things managers already possess and the knowledge characteristics are learned. The ability to inspire others is a value.
