FINANCES 2 Finances Currently, no award amount has been given to the Organization R.A.V.E. (Relief After Violent Encounter). Both the United States House of Representatives and Senate versions of the draft Department of Human Services appropriations bill have some level of funding listed for EFSP. Because of the late nature of the 2011 Federal budget, the National EFSP Board is attempting to get local grant decisions in place when, and if, funding becomes available. Should a funding selection be made, it will be by a National Board that is chaired by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and consists of representatives from The Salvation Army, American Red Cross, United Jewish Communities, Catholic Charities, National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, and United Way of America. The Local Board has been charged to distribute funds appropriated by Congress to help expand the capacity of food and shelter programs in high-need areas around the country. ("Relief after violent," 2011) The Local Board will determine how the funds awarded to Clinton County are to be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service agencies in the area. They also are responsible for recommending agencies for any additional funds available under this phase of the program.
