Section A The purpose of this project is to forecast the number of scooters that will be sold in February 2009 by Scooters Sportsworld. This report is being prepared for Mr. Jose Hernandez, who is an inventory manager for Scooters Sportsworld. I am being asked to prepare a multiple regression report that will help Jose effectively forecast how many scooters to order for the month of February. It is my job to determine the significance of the variables in question. Section B 1. Outlier Assessment In order to detect outliers you must look at the descriptive statistics of the quantitative independent variables. All of the independent variables in the data set are being assessed for outliers except the variable promo, because it is a qualitative instead of quantitative variable.
