GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING CASES FOR PRESENTATION Your focus should be the next five years. You should use sources such as the library, Internet, or your organization. The Case Analysis Must Contain the Following Major Sections and Subsections: 1. A brief summary of the main facts of the case that includes a clear identification of the organization’s Mission and Vision: What is the mission statement of your company? (Is the stated mission in line with what the organization is actually doing? If the case does not provide a mission statement you have write one based on your assessment and understanding of what the organization is doing) What is the vision statement for your company? (Does the vision statement derive directly from the organization’s past and current activities? Does the vision statement take into consideration the relevant environmental factors (demographics, economic political, legal, etc.) that have shaped, are shaping and/ or will shape its future environment? If you are unable to identify a vision statement your team will need to write one. Remember that the vision statement is a projection of the past and the present into the future.) 2. External Environmental Analysis What external environmental factors (demographics, economic political, legal, etc) are impacting the industry? What threats or opportunities do these factors present? How are other organizations in the industry acting/reacting to these factors? 3. Industry Analysis
