Valerie Bodden Kluge 10-0014 General Business Management September 16, 2009 What can you do now to stop corruption from happening in the government of this country? According to the Webster dictionary, corruption is “inducement to wrong by improper or unlawful means (as bribery, embezzlement, extortion, nepotism or patronage systems)”. I believe in this country citizens tend to accept that occurs in the government for one of two reasons: low education, or the will to do/change nothing in the government. People allow the government to be corrupt because they do not ask questions; they are not interested in what is going on, until it affects them directly. It seems as if they rather put a blindfold on until the election period, where they most of the times, chose the next president from the opposing party because they will not “rob”. The problem is, if people do not take action, no one will. Every movement begins with one idea. Yet, the underlying problem of everything is education. If the vast majority of this country has no
