Ecological Niche: Total way of life or role of a species in a ecosystem. It includes all physical, chemical, and biological conditions that a species needs to live and reproduce in an ecosystem. b. The difference between a niche and habit is that the habit is where the species lives. c. Specialist Species occupy narrow niches, while Generalist Species have board niches, therefore they can live in many different places, eat a variety of foods and often tolerate a wide range of economical conditions. i. Example : 1. G.S.: Cockroaches (they eat a variety of foods, live in different environmental conditions, and can live in different places) 2. S.S.: Tiger Salamander d. Species: i.
