Spring 2011 Portfolio Workshops Reflective Introduction Workshop (One class period) GOAL: In this workshop a writing consultant visits your classroom and guides the students through a series of mini-exercises designed to help the students identify their own compositional achievements over the course of the semester. NOTE: Participation requires students to have access to at least 2 essays with instructor comments, pens/ pencils, and clean paper. Essay Revision Workshop, Part I (30 minutes) GOAL: This workshop is very similar to our “Two-for-One Special” advertised earlier in the semester. A writing consultant will guide the class through exercises resulting in the creation of a student-generated list of errors and revision suggestions based upon the instructor’s comments. NOTE: Participation requires students to have a graded essay with student comments, pens/pencils, and clean paper. Essay Revision Workshop, Part II (30 minutes)
