GEN 200 Week 5 DQ 1: Ethics are principals or a set of values that are considered to be acceptably good and desired by most (especially in a professional setting). Almost everyone that you come into contact is going to have at least one different belief or characteristic contributing to their personality. On a daily basis you are using critical thinking, just to carry on a conversation that the other person would find interesting and would like to converse about. During any/all conversations that you have you have to use critical thinking to consider the types of conversations you would like to have and be careful not to mention anything that may hurt that person's feelings or offend them. This is really important because if I have to talk to an employee about a particular bad habit that they are displaying on the sales floor, I have to consider the reason for it before talking to them. For example, if they are eating and drinking on the sales floor (totally unacceptable; against of code of values and standards as a company), I need to know why. If they are feeling sick, and a little bit of food and a lot of water would set in their stomach, then the behavior would be okay. If I were to just attack them about the issue before thinking about why they are eating and
