The other point is that it is not just the question of the media ideological effect of the people, which is what the culture studies/political economic theory people think. First, she judges the technology. She is questioning that is this something we really want. Are there any positive effects to try to keep the human being in control? This is a very humanistic perspective. We actually have a choice. We need to have a standard through evaluating technology and decide whether it is good or not. As a society we can change. So this is her point of view. There are 5 standards: i. Doesn’t increase our critical thinking – since we don’t really know how to design the technology, and don’t know how to program ourselves.
