Chapter 8 Management In Action BUS 137 Principles of Management 1903SU Frances Drew 1. Mr. Khosrowshahi is trying to change the culture at Fuji Fire to help take the company to the next level. Obviously the culture in the organization was not helping the company to gain revenue so with this change he has already seen an increase of .2% in a years’ time. Where most CEO’s may bring in new people he is taking the old management and teaching them in what I view is an adaptive perspective. While some men were not for more women in higher positions over time they have come to accept this. By making management give presentations instead of reading from memos they are able to understand more and have more to do with the company. He is giving a fresh approach to the company which thus far has been successful. 2. Mr. Khosrowshahi seems to be moving his organization into what I think is a clan like culture. He is putting more money into developing his current management and training them and encourages collaboration for new ideas within the departments. I feel that Mr. Khosrowshahi is looking for an adaptive culture that will respond well to the ever
