1. Are there times when you engage in negative predictions about your academic performance? There are times when I engage in negative predictions about my academic performance. When I do a paper, I worry about the content of the paper and it’s information. Did I include all of the necessary information and/or answer the questions with the right answers? Is my paper constructed properly? Is my spelling and grammar sufficient? Will my paper satisfy the instructor’s expectations? That question alone is grounds for any negative predictions. As for all the other questions, they can be answered through the tools that are offered on the web site and online classroom. The tools can and do help, however, I still tend to worry and make negative predictions. Taking an exam, just like the final exam that I most recently completed, negative predictions are heavy and always have been, dating back to high school. I set my standards high, and therefore, stress about my performance. I am kind of a perfectionist, in which provokes me to not be satisfied with what I am
