1. Describe why you might use photos and drawings to remember ideas or concepts in this class or one of the classes that you are presently taking. Since the beginning of time, man has used drawings to explain and remember ideas and concepts. These drawings have been used to also help explain events and provide instruction for certain tasks. In this class, as well as other classes, drawings can be essential, providing a visual to go with the text that I may be reading. Photographs can be used in the same way. Remembering ideas and concepts become a little easier when the educational text or even a lecture is coupled with a drawing or photograph because it allows me to actually see what I am reading or being lectured about and getting a visual of the subject, idea, or concept that I am reading or lectured about helps me understand the material. If I can see a picture or a drawing of the subject matter that I am reading, then I can have a better memory of it than I would if I just read the text alone. For example, diagrams, graphs, or other such drawings may be used in some cases to better explain how efficient or
