As it is said, many agree that Obama’s plan to push forward his agenda to cut ties with foreign oil will be unnecessary and expensive. The problem is the massive cost that it would take to drill locally. You would have to employ Americans, of course, and we do not work cheap. In fact, that is one of the big reasons that we do not drill locally. It is a lot cheaper drilling overseas, as they can hire workers overseas at much lower wages. A lot more money is being made. A lot more pockets are being filled. However, I agree that we should drill locally because it would open up thousands of jobs for our hard working Americans and do well for our country’s economy. I am specifically speaking of right here in Montana. There are some of the richest veins in the world right under our feet. We need to employ our own people and put food on their tables, not foreigners. Drilling off shore in the Gulf Coast and Alaska, along with other areas, is fine but with the catastrophe in the Gulf, people are angry and on edge. Obama’s proposal
