Social Settings Of the different forms of social structure described by Durkheim, Tonnies, and Lenski, which comes closest to matching your social setting? Use the following terms in your explanation: status, role, primary group, and secondary group. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings. Of the different forms of social structure described by Durkheim, Tonnies, and Lenski, which comes closest to matching your social setting ? After doing the reading for this discussion, I woulkd have to say that Tonnie's “Gesellschaft” setting more suits me. I grew up mostly in the suburbs of Chicago (namely Arlington Heights, Illinois). This is a very urbanized area, where people live and go about doing their own thing. We coexist peacfully by following the laws set down by our governing officials. While we all have our primary and secondary groups that we belong to, we still tend to keep a lot of things to ourselves, to avoid certain people finding out about them. For example, my primary group to me would be my family(my Husband, our two kids, my mom, his mom, and sister, and our close friends). We all share our success and failures with each other, while not telling outsiders what happened, incase they come back and criticize us later. My secondary group would have to be the people I work with. In some aspects,
