1. Early Childhood Programs There are many Early Childhood Programs described in the text pick from one of the following: - Maria Montessori - High-Scope - Reggio Emilia - Waldorf Education Choose one program which you believe best serves the interests of children and their families. Describe the features from that program you would likely incorporate in your own classroom. Be sure to cite specific examples from the reading to substantiate your post. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings. The program I chose for this discussion is the Maria Montessori porgram. I like this program, because it gives the children more of a say in what they learn. I would likely have a full Montessori classroom. Maria Montessori's method has five principals -Respect for the child: -Absorbent Mind -Sensitive Periods -Prepared Environments -Autoeducation I agree with most of her beliefs. Respecting children is important, because if they are not shown it, they will not show respect to others. As far as the absorbent mind, our text states that “Children learn because they are thinking beings.”(Morrison, 2009, pg 142). Children are constantly having new experiences, and learning new things. Their minds are like sponges,. Constantly soaking up knowlesge.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
