IntroductionCultural Intelligence (CQ) is interpreted as the capability to engage effectively indifferent cultural settings.Cultural Intelligence provides leaders a complete collection andperspective which can be implemented to several cultural situations. It has been visible toforecast preparation and success, to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.Culture is integral because it makes sure that people are ready from all walks of life alsoelaborates on how to acknowledge to their own environment.Culture is a segment of our development, and it influences our character, nature, andmannerisms. It influences the way we manage our business our decision-making journey andcapability. Cultural Intelligence has the ability to function in intercultural settings. It is hardlyabout apprehension of individuals internally and externally when communicating with people ofdiverse cultures and interacting with people who have diverse views. The book entitledLeadingwith Cultural Intelligenceby David Livermore states, “Leaders high in CQ knowledge have arich, well-organized understanding of culture and how it affects the way people think andbehave. CQ Drive is the extent to which you are energized and persistent in your approach tomulticultural situations. It includes your self-confidence in your ability as well as your sense ofthe benefits you will gain from intercultural interactions.”Livermore talks about the four maincomponents of cultural intelligence in his book.1. CQ Drive (motivation): Confidence, drive andinterest to adapt cultural diversity. 2. CQ Knowledge (cognition):Understanding interculturalnorms and differences. 3.CQ Action: (behavioral): Changing nonverbal and verbal actionscorrectly when communicating cross-culturally. 4 CQ Strategy (metacognition): Making sense ofdifferent cultural experiences and then planning accordingly.Research Part 11
As I reflect some light on my personal cultural intelligence, I began to understand that Ilearned a lot more about myself than I already knew before. This assessment helped me discovermy strengths and weakness in conquering the challenges of working and interaction with people
