ACIS 1504 – Spreadsheet #2 Homework Instructions Overview The purpose of this homework assignment is to demonstrate your mastery of spreadsheet calculations, chart development and a few more advanced spreadsheet skills. In this assignment, you will add to your budget created in the previous assignment. Detailed instructions for completing this workbook are included on the following pages. If you need help with this assignment, please contact your instructor or one of the tutors at the Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence. You may also use the Custom CD, the textbook, or Excel help. (See pages Office 14 and 15.) All page references in this document refer to Illustrated Series Microsoft Office Excel 2007. You must use Excel to complete this assignment. You may be able to complete the entire assignment in an older version of Excel. If you do not have access to Microsoft Excel, you can find the application and WebDrive installed on computers in Pamplin 2010 and other labs on campus. Save your work frequently. Detailed Instructions Your solution will be graded on how well you achieve the design goals studied from the Custom CD. Therefore, simply including a component may not earn credit. The component must be included in the most logical, accurate, flexible, efficient and verifiable manner. Your solution should include following components : 1. Open the workbook you created for Spreadsheet #1 Homework. If you did not complete that assignment, you should do so now. (See pages Excel 4 and 5) The following instructions will add to that workbook. Before you can add to that workbook, you’ll need to turn protection off. (See pages 132 and 133) I have already graded protection so there is no need to turn protection back on when you are finished. 2. On the second worksheet containing your forecasted figures and the third worksheet containing your actual figures, add the following calculations: (See pages Excel 12 and 13 and 26 through 39) Remember, to save time, you can add these calculates with the worksheets grouped. a. Enter a function, not a formula, to total each month’s revenues. For example, if you got $50 from your parents and $100 from your job in the first month, the total for the month would be $150. You would include this calculation five times, once for each month. b.
