Myers Elliotte 10-21-2008 Comm. 1015 Brandi Quesenberry Anything for a Vote The speaker for the presentation of Anything for a Vote was Joseph Cummins. The lecture was in Squires Ballroom on October 20, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Not only was Joseph Cummins is the renowned author of Anything for a Vote , he was the author of eleven other books. Cummins was also the former creative director of the Quality Paperback Book Club. The presentation was average. Cummins was not the most enthusiastic person, but the material he presented was interesting and well organized. Cummins made his point very clear that he would be talking about different techniques and circumstances throughout American History that changed Presidential elections. His message came off as just that. He spoke about how elections were tampered with using mudslinging, character assassination, and various other strategies. This message was intended for anyone that is interested in politics and college age or older. He went through the presentation quickly, just as a college professor teaches, and used difficult vocabulary. Cummins’ purpose in
