Slavery was established in the early 1700s as theCarolinas began to pass slave laws based on the Barbados slave codes of the late 1600s(Corbett, et al., 2014). Oglethorpe's, whose vision was to ban slavery. Thomas Jefferson whotry to abolish slavery. Many abolitionists try to stop slavery. Abraham Lincoln is another namewho fought for slavery. In the statement of declaration of independence, there was stated allhumans are created equal. All human beings are equally treated, have equal rights, and canpursuit happiness at all times. All the abolitionists were responsible for eradicating slavery. Butfew of them was considered an irresponsible agitator because they tried to do unnecessaryviolence which was against the constitution. 2.Explain how abolitionists upheld the Declaration of Independence as the foundation ofantislavery and abolitionist thought.
