In 570, Muhammad was born in Mecca. He had a special name given to him meaning to praise. Shortly after his birth, Muhammad’s father died and at the age of six his mother also died. He became an orphan who was later taken in by his who he worked for. Muhammad worked as a Sheppard, joining his uncle on the caravan to Syria. In his teen years and early 20’s he established a career managing caravans working with the merchants. During his journey, he became employed by Khadija whom he later married in 595, with their being a fifteen year age difference. Although they were married Muhammad still continued to manage Khadija’s business while having six children. In 610, Muhammad began to male changes in his life. He diverted from his normal life and begins to fast, meditate while taking trips to a mountain cave. He began to have visionary experiences. Muhammad was visited by a spirit that told him to recite given words and for him to gradually get other to follow him on his journey to God. In 613, the messages that Muhammad
