FIBER RESEARCH 2 Fiber Research I will try to provide the main function of fiber and what foods carry fiber in them. I will also try and provide the difference between the two fibers. Then I will try and tell you the recommended fiber for children and adults. At the end I will tell you want I have learned about fiber and how it helps my body out. I will also tell you how they use to measure how much fiber to give to the kids. The main function of fiber in the body is to provide bulk and water to the intestinal contents which promotes digestion and passage of waste. When you eat the recommended about of fiber the effects of it can prevent many disease such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. However eating a lot of fiber can make you full and help you lose a lot of weight. Fiber can be found in lots of food that we eat and love. Here are some of the foods that fiber is in: oat bran, oatmeal, beans, peas, carrots, turnips, cabbages, whole-wheat bread, apple pulp, fruits, and rice
